The current scientific activity is carried out in collaboration with various national and international groups, and

with the group of Supramolecular Materials and Devices (Unità di Chimica Organica, Fisica e Industriale) of the department.

It mainly involves:

Study of supramolecular structures through X-ray diffraction on single crystals, and through theoretical calculations, focusing on molecular recognition phenomena.

Development of porous materials for gas adsorption/separation and wastewater treatment.

Structural characterisation of coordination complexes of transition metals in order to elucidate correlations between their structural, chemical and physical properties.
