Our research is focussed on the study of mantle processes (partial melting, melt-rock reaction, crustal recycling) that increase the heterogeneity of the Earth’s mantle. In this framework, sequences of fossil and modern oceanic lithosphere (Alpine and New Caledonia ophiolites along with samples from previous ODP-IODP expeditions) are currently investigated.
