Activities

The Laboratory of Structural Chemistry focuses on the solid-state structural characterization of molecules and materials using X-ray diffraction methods. Key activities include:

  • Determining molecular and crystalline structures through single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction under various conditions.
  • Analyzing the absolute configuration of chiral crystalline compounds.
  • Studying phase transitions at variable temperatures and determining the phases of crystalline materials.
  • Assessing the purity of microcrystalline materials using X-ray powder diffraction.
  • Investigating the solvation and desolvation of crystalline materials.
  • Providing training on diffractometric techniques for students and academic personnel.
